 | | More READING and LEEDS acts announced - 4:36 am, 2nd May 2006 | SLAYER, TAKING BACK SUNDAY and MASTODON have just been added to the line up for the Carling Weekend Reading and Leeds festivals which will take place on 25th -27th August. They join PLACEBO, PEARL JAM, KAISER CHIEFS, FRANZ FERDINAND, MUSE and many others for the three day event. Recorded earlier this year in Los Angeles, it is the highly anticipated follow up to their debut album ‘Fallen’ which sold 14 million copies worldwide.
“The making of this record has been really intense, but I’ve come out feeling purified,” said lead vocalist Amy Lee. “I've grown so much since ‘Fallen’, I feel like I’ve been lifted up to a whole new level of inspiration and possibilities.”
Although no dates have been announced, it is thought that the band will be touring later this year in support of the new release.

The Glasgow ABC gig on 28th May has been moved to the Barrowlands with more tickets now released and an extra date has also been added to London’s Brixton Academy on 4th June due to phenomenal demand. Both these shows and the few remaining tickets for the rest of the tour can be purchased from Ticketmaster.co.uk
Edited by Vex, 4:43 pm, 30th Apr 2006 | | ALTER BRIDGE return - 4:32 am, 25th Apr 2006 | After successfully building up their British fanbase, ALTER BRIDGE are returning for a few dates before they headline the Snickers Stage at the DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL on Saturday 10th June. They will play gigs in London, Wolverhampton and Glasgow, and a show at Cardiff University has also been confirmed for the day after their DOWNLOAD appearance.
Edited by Vex, 3:54 pm, 26th Apr 2006 | | SEETHER postpone shows - 3:20 am, 14th Apr 2006 | SEETHER have had to cancel their upcoming April tour which was due to start on Monday 17th in Birmingham. Although few details have been given, their official website has cited "family issues" and the shows will be rescheduled for later in the year - possibly around September/October time. Original tickets will be valid for the new dates but please check with your ticket provider for details on refunds. This is the second time that SEETHER have been forced to cancel UK gigs as shows last year were also postponed due to touring commitments in the US.

It kicks off at Glasgow's ABC on July 1st and takes in Nottingham, Bristol and London.
