Glasgow 2010. Moral panic. Battling on stage are red hot rockers The Coy Dogs; and hypercool Modus.
THE MODS
Groovy tunes you can dance to, sharp suits, flirty dresses and go-go boots. Not a hair out of place, Tootal scarves and pocket squares, shoes shined to an inch of their life. This is Mod, this is Modus.
This Edinburgh five piece wouldn't dare be found fighting greasy rockers on the beaches - they'd get sand in their shoes, and anyway, it's just not cool.
Looking cool is where it's at. Cool is a 1962 Vespa, cool is a Hammond Organ. It's leading, not following.
Modus are big favourites on the UK Mod scene - supporting the likes of 80s Mod favourites Secret Affair and performing at Italy's Rimini Mod Rally and Euro Ye Ye in Gijon, Spain. They're set to tour the UK this Autumn.

THE ROCKERS - The Coy Dogs
Shaggy, Slap, Lex and Marty are living the dream rock'n'roll Rockabilly lifestyle. Keeping the vibrancy and authenticity of 50s music and culture alive since the Mods and Rockers revival in the late 70s. They've played with the likes of Rollin Joe, White Lightnin, Zenith, Crazy Cavan, Furious, Lucas, The Dynamos, The Rhythm Rockers, Bop Street and were particularly honoured to be invited to play at the world famous Ace Café in London for its 70th anniversary.
Strong hard-hitting rockin' music. Slicked quiffs, tattoos and sideburns. Watch out Mods - the rockers are coming.
